BMW M3 E30

Description

38 years on from its release, the BMW M3 E30 still marks one of BMW’s finest ever moments.

This 1987 example with 152,000kms is in a wonderful colour combination of Lachs Silver with black leather interior. It was subjected to a comprehensive overall in 2021 from Ireland’s leading E30 specialist.

On the surface, the car is entirely original. It has all of its original fixtures and fittings and presents in beautiful condition throughout. The bodywork, trim and wheels are all excellent. The black leather interior is complimented beautifully by retro houndstooth door trim.

When you start to look under the skin of this M3, however, you discover that the mechanical aspects have been comprehensively overhauled. It is now an incredible standard, done by renowned specialist, Dave Gormley of Classicworx.

The extensive list of work carried includes no less than new brake callipers, discs and pads all around, front and rear drop links, subframe bushes, trailing arm bushes, wheel bearings, brake backing plates, hard brake and fuel lines, brake and fuel flexi pipes, power steering and brake fluid change, new coolant reservoir, fuel tank, front and rear ARB bushes, refurbished steering rack, diff cover vapour blasted, all bolts zinc plated and all front and rear subframes and suspension powder coated.

In the last few months, we carried out a major service in our own workshop. We installed new driveshaft coupling, timing chain tensioner, sorting some minor oil leaks plus lots more.

The net result is an E30 that looks and drives superbly and gives you all the peace of mind of having been meticulously prepared and cared for.

This is a beautiful and usable example of a legendary car. It certainly is one of the best examples available anywhere in this price bracket.
