Between 2010 and 2013, the car underwent a comprehensive restoration, executed with care and sensitivity to originality. The restoration returned the car to as-new condition while preserving its soul, most notably the original seats, which remain in place, lending a wonderful sense of authenticity to the interior.

Originally delivered by Normands of Mayfair, London, the car was imported to County Cork, Ireland, very early in its life. Since then, it has had just three Irish owners, with the current keeper enjoying over ten years of custodianship.

The 300SEL represented the pinnacle of Mercedes-Benz engineering in 1969.
